This is not about a race in Ohio.

This is about the IL-06(district 6 in Illinois). This is a race between Tammy Duckworth and Peter Roskam.
This comes under the (how low can the GOP go) department.
Peter claims that Ms Duckworth is one of those liberal, terrorist lovers, who wants to cut-and-run from Iraq. Ms Duckworth can't run from anything since she is in a wheelchair. It seems that while Mr Roskam was cutting and running from serving his country, Ms Duckworth lost both of her legs while serving her country in Iraq.

Anybody see a pattern here folks?

Emily Perez is dead.

Who was the first American servicewoman to die in Iraq?

How about an American Samoan?

Jose Antonio Gutierrez, first to die.
and the second to die was Therrel S. Childers

Do you see the pattern yet?
Question? What is 5% of 140,000?
You can put your shoes back on, it is 7,000.
Anybody want to bet that there isn't 7,000 men and women from the richest 5% with their boots on the ground in Iraq. Forget 7,000, how about just 7.
These people should be very thankful for the all volunteer military. That protects them from having to defend or even support this nation.
Maybe if we gave them another round of tax cuts they could send some snot-nosed fratboy into the green zone to have his picture taken. Then he could run away again.

We are all stuck in a movie.

The American citizens who are sick, poor, elderly, the working class, the middle class, (even those who refuse to admit it) are represented by Linda Hamilton. The wealthy elitist of the GOP are the machines from The Terminator.
You can't bargain with them.
You can't reason with them.
You can't plead with them.
They have no pity.
They have no remorse.
Their only purpose is to destroy you.

Look at two situations. ELF sets fire to new homes being constructed. They are not only called criminals they are called terrorists. A major corporation comes into an area, and greases a few palms from the local government. They are allowed to use eminent domain to drive out families who may have been on that land for generations.
We have to fight law with law, fire with fire, and if need be destruction with destruction.

We can not count on the political parties to help, they are the problem. Ordinary citizens joined together to drive the British from these shores over two hundred years ago, and it will take ordinary Americans to do it again.
The GOP goes into an election cycle and fights it as if it were a war.
The Dems go into an election cycle and act like it is an intramural volleyball game.
So which is worse, the elitists or the Quislings?
We have not come to the point of no return, but every day we are getting closer.

Economic justice movement

There is nothing I could add to this piece, so I won't even try.

Amnesty for human rights crimes

The USA has joined Argentina and Chili as nations that give amnesty to criminals in the government who commit human rights abuses. Those are not nations I want to be compared with. We give blanket amnesty to people who break the laws of morals, the laws of America and international law.
It must be time for the far right to start talking about Fidel again.

More GOP corruption to come

Money for the rebuilding doesn't get to those who need it.

More GOP corruption

Which is a full time job for them. They took the money set aside to teach children to read and funneled it to their corporate friends. This country should be having investigations and law suits, against people from this administration, for the next twenty years.

If a person tries to point out their corruption, they try to have them fired.
Stand up for the American taxpayer and lose your job. Only in BushWorld.

There are some people who didn't know this???????

Is there that many people who have their heads stuck in the sand?
For those few, the Washington Times is a fascist newspaper.

And further proof is that they hire racists to run the newspaper.

Democracy destroyed by voting machines

I may not agree with Lou Dobbs on a lot of issues but he hit the nail on this one.
Not one company can produce an electronic voting machine that works.
At a time when we should be encouraging all Americans to do their duty and vote, we are instead telling them it won't matter anyway.

To the surprise of absolutely noboby.

Enforcing marijuana prohibition costs between $10 and $12 billion annually and has led to the arrest of nearly 18 million, more than the total number for all violent crimes combined, including murder, manslaughter, and rape, robbery and assault.

Think about it folks. If you are a prosecutor and want to move up the legal foodchain, it depends on the number of arrests and convictions you have, not what they have been convicted for. It is so easy to get the streetcorner drug dealer. They are in plain site, people know who they are, and they will be defended by someone from Legal Aid.

I can solve the airline problem

Just put all of the passengers in straitjackets.
That will stop those evil-doers from kissing.
You never know what else they might be capable of.

There is always good news stories

But sometimes you have to look for them. This is when we have Americans claiming a fascist government is good. This is when we have Americans claiming that genocide is a good idea. These people are Americans by birth but that is the only reason.
These two righteous people are being honored today.

For their heroism, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum will dedicate plaques today in memory of Waitstill and Martha Sharp. They are only the second and third U.S. citizens named to an honor roll of 21,000 "righteous" gentiles, non-Jews who risked their lives to rescue Jews.

Even the Wall Street Journal dislikes the fascism

The fascisism that is creeping, and sometimes running, in to our society.

This is why we need the ACLU so much

The ACLU defends people from stupid laws like this.
After 6 years you can request your name be removed?
Since when do people have to prove themselves innocent?

Man boards plane with C-4 explosive, twice

Fortunately for the people on the plane, that was his job. He is an anti-terrorism expert just checking the security.
You an bet your booty, that nobody from Code Pink would ever have made it onto the plane.

My hat is off to the people of Salt Lake City

A crowd of thousands cheered Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson for calling President Bush a "dishonest, war-mongering, human-rights violating president" whose time in office would "rank as the worst presidency our nation has ever had to endure."
