Calling out Rick Perry

Rick Perry said Obama aided drilling in Brazil.

We found Perry is referring to two things: Obama's trip to Brazil in March 2011, which was intended to encourage growing economic and political ties to the country, and a decision by the Ex-Im Bank, an independent agency, to offer a preliminary commitment to a Brazilian oil company in April 2009.
In the 2011 speech all president Obama said was that the US would be a customer of theirs.

On the Ex-Im loan, Obama had no role in approving it. When the bank’s board of directors made that decision on April 14, 2009, all five directors were appointed by Bush. Obama had no appointees on the board at that time.
And all the loan was for was to allow Brazil to buy American oil drilling equipment.
So you crazies would rather Brazil buy the equipment from China?

I give Rick Perry the benefit of the doubt at not being stupid. Being the phoniest of a phony Christian, he knew it was a lie when he said it.

GOP, no to tax cuts

No to tax cuts for working class Americans.
That money should be given to the wealthy instead.

The GOP is nothing but a one trick pony.

Read this on 9/11.

Eric Cantor wants a 40% cut to first responders.
Happy 9/11 from Eric Cantor.

If you don't like my source, just Google,'cantor 40% cut first responders',there are many other sites that carry the story.

wealth gap

And no one should be surprised.
http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
The gap between the top 1% and everyone else hasn't been this bad since the Roaring Twenties.

And the lackeys from the worthless TeaParty's solution,
Give the wealthy more money.

I just added this.

That wasn't even close: In reality, the top 20 percent controlled about 84 percent of the wealth, while the bottom quintile controlled just 0.1 percent. The combined net worth of the bottom 40 percent, in fact, accounted for just 0.3 percent of the nation's wealth. (See chart below, where that bottom 40 percent doesn't even show up.)

Well how stupid is the TeaParty? ,part deux.

I may be repeating myself, but this is about the American civil war. The one in 1861.
And yes it was about slavery, no matter how the looneytics try to gloss over it.

The vast majority of southern families did not own slaves.
The slaves were owned by the wealthy, the businessmen, and the plantation owners.
They convinced tens of thousands of southern men to go fight and possibly die, for the wealthy's right to own slaves.
That is my connection with the TeaParty.
These southern men were fighting against their own best interests.
If it wasn't for the slaves these business people would have been forced to hire employees.

Well how stupid is the TeaParty?

And other assorted far right people.
The TeaParty gets massive funding from some of America's most wealthy people. Sure that makes everything better for them, and that makes them happy.
But just think abut the wealthy supporters.

They don't care about abortion.
They don't care about gay marriage.
They don't care about our rights to own a gun.
They don't care about our religious rights.
They don't care about illegal immigrants.

These are nothing but tools to attack the left with, because they know the left are the only ones who will stand up to them.
Unfortunately not all of those on the left are willing to stand up to them, but that will change given enough time.

What America needs now is our own Bastille Day, only in a kinder, gentler way.

The GOP/TeaParty and the good book

Uh, some of you fools thought I was talking about the Bible.
The good book, according to the GOP/TeaParty is the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition.

I didn't even bother to look up the numbers connected to them.

War is good for profits, you can sell weapons to both sides.
Peace is good for profits, you can overcharge to clean up the mess the war made.
A spouse may be important, but a good tax attorney is a necessity.
There is nothing more dangerous than an honest businessman.
The wealthy can buy anything, except a conscience, which means they don't need one.
Employees are the rungs on the ladder of success. Never hesitate to step on them.
