'Gojira' has finally been released on DVD
Why it has taken so long for Americans to be allowed to see this movie is beyond me.
This is the very first of the Japanese monster movies. This is the original un-cut movie, in Japanese with the English subtitles.

This movie was later sliced up, and scenes of Raymond Burr were added to it to make it more appealing to American movie goers. The title of the movie was then called 'Godzilla, King of the Monsters'.
If you watch it and notice, Raymond Burr is never in the scenes with the original Japanese actors. Also in the Raymond Burr scenes everybody speaks English, but the scenes he is not in, the voices are dubbed in English.
