Jimmy Carter has been in the news
President Carter did not have the greatest run as president. Some things can be blamed on him, others just happened when he was president. The hostage situation was a bad time for America but the only thing he could have done differently was to go to war with Iran.Even that would not have guarenteed the safe return of all or even any of the hostages.
We should never forget the Camp David Accords. It was a peace agreement between Egypt and Israel. Will it last forever, I don't know. It has lasted for almost 30 years. It shows that if you have three state leaders who are actually interested in peace, great things can be accomplished. Remember Mr Sadat paid for the peace with his lfe.
