Candidate Bush in 1999

Bush said the Clinton administration should be blamed for prices averaging well over $1.50 per gallon because it squandered the goodwill built with oil producers by his father, former President Bush, in the Persian Gulf War and because it lacks an overall energy policy.

All of the great new jobs

There is not much else a person could add to this story. We all know that we are losing good paying jobs and the newer ones are the mini-wage kind. This is a complete sell-out by corporate America. The good jobs that we are losing is not coming in a trickle any more, it has become a tsunami.
We know for a fact that corporate America is in love with greed and the lust for power, But it is also apparent that what they hate more than anything in the world is the American middle class, working class. It was the working class that created this great nation, not bankers, CEOs and corporate attorneys. These people should be held accountable for their actions.
If you read the article you will see that Mr. Roberts was the Secretary of the Treasury under Reagan and worked for The Wall Street Journal. This man is not some pinko commie leftist. Bring back America and put BushWorld out in the dumpster.

The party of Gettin' Our Pork

There are not any GOP schemes that are too insane to be given millions or even hundreds of millions.

The Who sure were wrong.

We will get fooled again, and again, and again. They knew this guy was a felon before he was hired. With this administration 'convicted felon' means you move to the top of the list.

And another felon.

Vote tallies are a security risk?

The state of Alaska says they can not release voter info from the 04 election. They claim it would be a security risk. What, security risk?Does anyone think that al Qaeda cares about how the people of Alaska voted? Or do they mean they are just securing their own behinds?http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00002707.htm

Trailers of mass destruction?

Well, it was only two days later. Maybe nobody had bothered to tell George yet, that the bio-weapons trailers were phony. I can understand it because George doesn't want to hear anything that does not agree with how he thinks. But come on people they were still spreading the story as the truth eight months later. I guess any lie is good enough, if you can get people to believe it.

How about some sci-fi for tax day

April 14, 2260 was when Mars and the Outer Colonies declared independence and seceded from the union, the Earth Alliance. This action was because of Morgan Clark became a dictator, posing as a president.
April 15, 2260 Babylon 5 also declared their independence. They stated that they would only follow the Constitution and that Earth Alliance was an illegal government.
I guess some thing change and some things remain the same.
Later on this day was when Capt. Sandra Hiroshi sacrificed herself, her crew and her ship in the name of freedom. She sent her badly damaged ship, the EAS Churchill, on a suicide run to ram the EAS Roanoke whose Commander had decided to stand with the dictator.
For those who didn't follow the series, thanks to our friends the Narn and Mimbari, freedom did prevail.
Wouldn't it be nice to think that sometime in the future we will have heros again?

More GOP treachery in Ohio

What else is there to add to this story? The man running for governor in Ohio, is also the man in charge of the voting machines. How about calling that a conflict of interests.

Disappearing rights

Well, what rights have you lost? You hear that all of the time from the extreme right. Nobody really knows because they don't have to tell you about illegal activities of the government. But here is one of them that did come out into the open.

Some people like high gas prices

I found this at hughesforamerica. There is nothing I could possibly add to it
"We're all in this together.
"That's what now-retired Exxon CEO Lee Raymond said last year when testifying before Congress about exploding gas prices. Think Progress, however, begs to differ:
Last year, Raymond made due with "a total compensation package" of just $69.7 million or $190,915 a day, including weekends.
After his haul in 2005, Raymond has decided to retire. It's seems that, for Raymond, not working is even more lucrative than working:
Exxon is giving Lee Raymond one of the most generous retirement packages in history, nearly $400 million, including pension, stock options and other perks, such as a $1 million consulting deal, two years of home security, personal security, a car and driver, and use of a corporate jet for professional purposes.Think about that the next time you shell out nearly $40 - or far more - to fill your tank.

You wonder where the money went

When you brush your teeth with Halliburton.
How completely typical is this? This company is paid 200 million to build 142 health clinics. They partially build 20, then just walk away and say thanks for the 200 million. This administration says that is free enterprise in action, no problem here folks, move on.I seem to remember that there was a time when war profiteering was a crime. It is not a crime in BushWorld.

'Dear Leader' George loves Stalinist ideas

It seems that the Bush administration now says that NASA employees can now talk to the media without one of their minders present. Bush would make Kim Jong Il proud. But there are strings. Our 'dear leader' also said that anyone who talks without a minder will be sorry.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/30/AR2006033001864.html

And NASA isn't the only ones. Scientists studying global warming are also being hamstrung.

Keep Americans from voting--the GOP way

HAVA, The Help America Vote Act should be renamed. Maybe it should be called the, Keep Americans From Voting Act. In a real America this would be a disgrace, but in BushWorld it is just business as usual.

Two lawmakers are demanding that Bush obey the law.

Two lawmakers are demanding that Bush obey the law. TWO??? Is that sad or what, two out of the whole congress? I guess it does show what happens when you try to appease a spoiled brat rich kid. They don't think the laws are made for them.

FBI -only go after the easiest targets

Seems like the only thing the FBI has to do is to spy on pacifists. How terrible, these people were actually handing out leaflets.
